Symptom

You have changed your Wordpress password in Wordpress and can no longer log in to Wordpress directly from the webspace control panel using the "Log in" button.

or

You have added a Wordpress instance with the "Scan" button of the Wordpress Toolkit so that the webspace control panel does not yet know your Wordpress login data.

Cause

If you only change Wordpress login data in Wordpress or manually install Wordpress in the webspace, Wordpress does not notify the webspace control panel of the change. Wordpress does not know that there is such a thing as a webspace control panel through which it can also be managed. In order to be able to log into your Wordpress website directly from the webspace control Panel using the “Log in” button, you must reset the Wordpress login name and password using a function of the webspace control panel. The web space control panel knows that your Wordpress website exists and not only remembers the login data itself, but also saves the new login data in Wordpress so that both systems are synchronized again.

Solution

Bitpalace recommends to change the Wordpress login password via the webspace control panel and not just Wordpress. This means that the convenient login option from the webspace control panel is retained.

1. Log in to the webspace control panel.

2. Click on the “Wordpress” menu.

3. You will see a list of your Wordpress websites. If a Wordpress website is missing from the list, simply add it by using the “Scan” button. If you only operate one Wordpress website in the web space, you will only see one entry. Usually the list is expanded so that you can immediately see a lot of details about your Wordpress website. If the details are missing, please click on the downward arrow to the left of the list entry.

4. Under the small screenshot of your Wordpress website you will find a link “Setup”. Click on this link.

5. A configuration flyout opens. Enter your new Wordpress password there. If you entered a new password directly in Wordpress and only want to synchronize the web space panel center with it, you can also enter your known password. You can also use the "Generate" button to generate a random new password. With the "eye" icon you can display the password.

6. Click the “OK” or “Change” button at the bottom of the flyout.

Now Wordpress and the webspace control panel both know the same login. You can now log in to your Wordpress admin backend again with the “Log in” button directly from the webspace control panel.
